Tutorial Track

The ECML PKDD 2026 Organizing Committee invites proposals for half-day tutorials to be held on the first and last days of the conference (September 7th and 11th, 2026), which will take place in Naples, Italy. Tutorials provide comprehensive introductions to established or emerging research topics of interest to the machine learning and data mining community. These topics may include related research fields, practical applications, or well-developed tools and frameworks that support ML/DM research. An ideal tutorial should appeal to a broad audience while offering both foundational coverage and in-depth exploration of key concepts. Each tutorial should maintain clear focus to ensure its content fits comfortably within a half-day slot. Proposals that exclusively focus on the presenter's own work or serve as commercial demonstrations are strongly discouraged. We offer a waived registration fee for main conference attendance to one speaker per accepted in-person tutorial. Tutorial organizers will have the opportunity to include an extended abstract describing their tutorial in the conference proceedings.

Authors should adhere to ethics guidelines stated HERE .

  • Quality of organization as demonstrated in the outline
  • Scientific reputation and expertise of the instructors in the tutorial topic area
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex topics effectively to audiences with diverse backgrounds
