Scholarship Program

We are committed to helping underrepresented groups and regions within the Diversity & Inclusion initiative at the ECML-PKDD community. To support this mission, we will offer 10 Student Grants: €500 to cover the costs of student registration.

Eligibility Criteria

Student Grant: applicants must come from students with a paper accepted in ECMLPKDD.

The Scholarship program was very competitive. We selected 10 winners from 33 Candidates. The winners are:

APPIA Scholarships

The APPIA Association will award three (3) scholarships, each covering the student registration fee (presumed to be €500).

Please find attached the APPIA Scholarship Regulations.

Eligibility is restricted to students who are APPIA members or whose academic advisor is a registered APPIA member.

Applications must be submitted via email to appia@appia.pt and must include the following information:

  • Applicant (Student): full name, academic institution, degree program, and email address.
  • APPIA-affiliated Academic Advisor: full name, institution, membership number, and email address.
  • Scientific Event: title, date, location, and URL.
  • Nature of Participation: title of the scientific paper or equivalent to be presented.
  • Budget: estimated costs for registration and/or travel, and the amount requested from APPIA.

The following supporting documents must also be attached in PDF format:

  • The scientific paper (or equivalent) to be presented.
  • A recommendation letter from the academic advisor (who must be a current APPIA member with dues paid), justifying the relevance of the requested support and confirming that no alternative funding sources are available.
  • The student’s curriculum vitae (CV).
